Jacksonville Fire Department to pass out nearly 20 thousand community calendars

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Folks in Jacksonville may see firefighters out and about passing out calendars.

The Jacksonville Fire Department has been tasked with the Caring Community Project for nearly two decades.

They deliver nearly 20 thousand calendars to the community in hopes of letting folks know about upcoming events.

The stations say many folks look forward to seeing them on their front porch every year.

“There’s so much that we do through the year that this gives them the opportunity to look through it each month as their going through their calendar to see what services are being provided and new projects too that the city is interested in,” said Jacksonville Fire Department Battalion Chief Jon Crazy Bear.

If you haven’t received your calendar you can reach out to any Jacksonville Fire Department station and they will deliver it to your home.
