Farmville Central wins Parker’s Barbecue Holiday Tournament with overtime win over JH Rose

FARMVILLE (WNCT) – Michael Taylor hit a three point shot with two seconds to play in overtime to give Farmville Central a 74-72 win over JH Rose in the finals of the Parker’s Barbecue Holiday Tournament.

The game went back and forth all night long. Jair Phillips hit a three point shot at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime. Cornell Powell led all scorers with 24 points.

Farmville Central big man Ikesta Johnson was named the tournament’s MVP.

South Central beat DH Conley 56-34 in the third place game. The Falcons had won the Pitt County Holiday tournament the past six years.
