GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – In Greenville, the Community Crossroads Center and its residents prepared for the Christmas holiday.
The homeless shelter handed out gift bags to those staying there; items inside included toiletries, inspirational reading materials, notepads, and a boxed lunch.
9 On Your Side spoke with some of those staying at the shelter.
“I have seen a lot of gifts come through here, from not just the fire department and the rescue squad, but I’ve seen a lot of gifts come through here from just individuals that bring stuff here and want to give something to the children and their families. And even us. This is a good place. It really is,” said Nathan Glickman.
The shelter will host its annual Christmas lunch Friday. The event starts at 1 p.m. and everyone is invited to attend and visit with the residents.
