Children receive free toys from local organizations

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Christmas came early for the Pitt County Boys and Girls Club.

More than 120 kids received a bag of Christmas presents Sunday afternoon. It’s all to make sure the children feel loved and appreciated this holiday season. A nine-year- old girl says she doesn’t have any toys, so she’s happy that she now has plenty of things to play with.

Nakyiah Hollis said, “”I’m actually getting toys to entertain me so when Christmas gets here, I don’t have to wait until Christmas. I can play with them until Christmas.”

University City Kiwanis raised the money to buy the toys and the Greater Greenville Kiwanis club bought the gifts and wrapped them.
