2 men arrested for breaking and entering a home

FOUNTAIN, N.C. (WNCT)- Two men are behind bars for breaking and entering.

Deputies say the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s office received the report on December 17th of a breaking and entering off Sharp Point Road in Fountain.

The victim called the Sheriff’s office when he noticed the suspects leaving his house. The victim chased the suspects until deputies intercepted and gave chase.

The suspects were driving a 2008 black Kia Optima. They were caught in the town of Pinetops. When deputies searched the vehicle they found stolen property from the victim’s home.

KEVON PETTAWAY TYRONE D DRAUGHN

Tyrone Draughn was charged with Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Injury to Real Property, from Pitt County. He was also charged with Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Assault on Government Officer, Resist Delay and Obstruct an Officer, Possession of Firearm by Felon, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property and Malicious Conduct by Inmate by Edgecombe County. He was given a $175,000.00 Secure Bond.

Kevon Pettaway was charged with Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Injury to Real Property, from Pitt County. He was also charged with Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property and Fleeing to Elude Arrest by Edgecombe County. He was given a $125,315.00 Secure Bond.

Both suspects are in the Edgecombe County Detention Center.
