NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – Defense attorneys for a Craven County man charged in his brother’s murder began presenting their case today.
Delgen Foye was arrested in 2013, deputies say he attacked his brother and mother with a butcher knife.
They say he cut his mother’s wrist and stabbed his brother in the chest and arm, killing him.
The DA says Delgen was violent and had records of 911 calls from his brother saying Delgen was acting crazy.
Witnesses, including the victim’s daughter, took the stand to testify.
The DA says the jury could begin deliberating Friday.
Delgen faces life without parole if convicted.
