Midway Park man wanted, 2 others charged in theft of ATVs

KENANSVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Deputies in Duplin County say they’ve issued arrest warrants for a man wanted in the theft of ATVs.

They’re looking for Calvin Edward Decker, III who’s from the Midway Park area of Onslow County. He’s charged with felony larceny of the ATVs from Duplin County near the Duplin/Onslow County line east of Beulaville on Wednesday, December 2. Decker is also known to have a lengthy criminal history.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, you’re asked to call the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 296-2150.

Deputies tell 9 On Your Side that they got a tip about the stolen four wheelers, which were located off of Brinson Lane near the Duplin/Onslow County line on Saturday, December 12. When they responded, they did locate a stolen four wheeler.  Another was located in Onslow County by deputies with the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office. It was later determined that it was stolen from Duplin County.

Following the investigation, deputies arrested Samuel Lynn Sholar and charged him with felony larceny of ATV. He’s in the Duplin County Jail under a $7500 secured bond. Johnathan Brinson was charged with possession of stolen property and also placed in the Duplin County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.
