Jacksonville man charged with breaking and entering, kidnapping woman

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Deputies say they arrested a Jacksonville man on breaking and entering and kidnapping charges.

36-year-old Efrain Aquino Gonzalez Jr. was arrested Sunday, charging him with the following Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony First Degree Kidnapping, Felony Larceny from the Person, Felonious Restraint, and Misdemeanor Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Gonzalez is accused of breaking into a woman’s home, assaulting her, and then forcibly transporting her back to his residence. Fortunately, she was able to escape from Gonzalez’s vehicle and fled to safety.

Gonzalez was placed in the Onslow County Detention Center under a $300,000 secured bond.
