Greenville gas leak repaired after a main pipe was partially cut

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT)- Greenville Fire and Rescue responded to a gas leak Saturday after construction workers accidentally hit a gas pipe.

The gas leak occurred on Martinsborough Rd., near Evans St. where road construction has been underway for the past couple months.

Greenville Utilities received the call at 4:09 p.m. that a main pipe had been partially cut. GUC workers arrived on scene at 4:27 p.m. and repaired the pipe close to 6:30 p.m.
