Kinston Police say repeat criminal stole teeth whitening kit, steaks

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – A repeat felon was charged again after stealing items from a grocery store, according to the Kinston Department of Public Safety.

Kinston police say they arrested Timothy Joe Burge on Wednesday after responding to a larceny call at the FoodLion on West Vernon Avenue.

They say they had to chase Burge and that he had hid items he stole from the store in his pants. When they caught him, they say they found he had steaks, a bottle of Advil PM and a Crest Teeth Whitening Kit.

He was charged with Misdemeanor Larceny and Resist Obstruct and Delay.

Burge was also charged with Felony Habitual Larceny.  Police say he has had 5 Larceny convictions and 58 separate charges.
