ECU meets $300,000 goal toward Heritage Hall

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – ECU said late Thursday afternoon that it’s met its initial fundraising goal for the cost of Heritage Hall.

A previous report given to WNCT Thursday morning said the university was $60,000 shy of the money needed to develop Heritage Hall on campus.

In total, $300,000 has been pledged to the estimated $500,000 cost.

The university will now continue with its plans to remove the Aycock name off the residence hall and transition it to Heritage Hall.

The decision was made in September, under the condition fundraising goals were met.

Heritage Hall is a place designated to recognize people of historical significance, including Governor Charles B. Aycock.
