Local school raises funds for Paris victims

LA GRANGE, NC (WNCT) – One local high school is giving back to the victims of the Paris terror attacks.

Students at North Lenoir High School started a new club, Pledge to Love. The goal is spread a message of tolerance and love.

The idea to start the club came after students discussed changes in the world in Jennie Patrick’s english class.

“Culture of terrorism prejudice and racism isn’t going to change because of one club in one town, said Ms. Patrick. “But one club in one town can show people that it can be done. that it can be done in one town and in one club.”

On Thursday, the club will raise funds at the home basketball game with a 50-50 raffle. It will aid in the relief of those affected by the terror attacks.
