Probation: Former Pitt Co. deputy sentenced on child sex charge

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – A former Pitt County deputy and Farmville Central High School resource officer pleaded guilty to sex offenses involving a student.

That’s according to an announcement from District Attorney Kimberly Robb.

The SBI arrested Justin Dickinson back in March for crimes dating back to 2011.

Robb says Dickinson pleaded guilty to indecent liberties involving a child. The victim was 15 at the time.

It happened in a patrol car and was recorded on a cell phone.

Dickinson was granted time served, probation, and must be register as a sex offender.
