Arrest warrant issued for man charged during 2014 River Walk riot

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The Pitt County Courts issued an arrest warrant for Elajha Robinson, one of five individuals who faced charges after the 2014 Halloween River Walk riot.

The County Clerk of Courts office said Robinson failed to appear in court to face charges of “failure to disperse; and resist, delay and obstruct.”

A WNCT 9 On Your Side reporter interviewed Robinson last year who gave an eyewitness account of the riot.

The other four charged include Noah Sonne who received 12 months unsupervised probation for “inciting riot” and “injury to personal property;” Stephen Ceperich who has a court date for Dec. 4, 2015; Zachary Tanner who has a court date on Nov. 4, 2016 and Evan Shillmoller, who a representative of the clerk’s office was unable to find in their system.
