Business owners encourage the public to shop local Saturday

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – It is small business Saturday and local shops are hoping to see an increase in customers.

Last year, 88 million consumers shopped small on small business Saturday, which is up 14.9 percent from the previous year. One local shop in Greenville is Fox & Hound which is in Arlington Village. Owner Linda Craft says she loves what she does, but has to rely on locals to fund her business.

“I think those of us who have the smaller shops and don’t have the space that the larger box stores do, we still try to have very unique and attractive things for people and priced reasonable,” said Linda Craft.

Craft encourages people to shop local over the holiday season and help all small business owners.
