Fire crews help boy climb down from tree in Faison

FAISON, N.C. (WNCT) — Witnesses say a little boy was stuck in a large tree in Duplin County. Faison Fire and Rescue crews responded to the scene and were able to help the boy down around 4 p.m. Crews say the 6-year-old was stuck about 50 feet in the air for over an hour.

Assistant Chief Brian Kelly says when firefighters asked him why he climbed that far up in the tree, he said he just felt like climbing. The boy was safely reunited with his family.
