BAYBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – Inmates at the Pamlico Correctional Institution raised money to feed several families this Thanksgiving.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety says six eastern North Carolina families received a Thanksgiving meal as part of the prison’s service club.

This year the club raised and donated $300 dollars to “Communities in Schools of Pamlico County.

The Pamlico service club also provided $300 dollars to the charity in October to help with the organization’s backpack grocery program for students.
