Beaufort Co Sheriff’s Office takes stance on holiday messages

WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) – The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office joined other agencies across the country in sharing a controversial message.

According to a Facebook post, Sherrif Ernie Coleman endorsed his office being “politically incorrect” in sharing messages of “Merry Christmas” and “In God We Trust.”

It was posted on Monday and has been shared nearly 500 times.
