PLAY OF THE YEAR? – The Hook-and-Ladder guides the Vikings to a win

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – A bit of trickery was in the air tonight in Kinston.

Quarterback Thomas Vermillion threw it over the middle to Anthony Berry Jr…and that’s where things got interesting.

Berry, as he was being tackled, then flipped the ball to Running Back Tavon Herns who escaped untouched down the sideline for a touchdown.

Kinston went on to beat Ayden-Grifton 18-14 to advance to the third round of the NCHSAA State playoffs for just the third time in school history.
