ECU breaks ground on $122.2 million student center

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – East Carolina University trustees, administrators and students broke ground on the school’s new $122.2 million student center.

The facility will have several amenities including a large out door digital display screen, a gaming center and a parking deck.

It will also have several dining options including Starbucks and Panda Express.

“The student center will strongly enhance quality of life on campus for our students, providing them with an attractive, open, engaging space that will meet their needs,” Dr. Virginia Hardy, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, said.

The university raised student fees to pay for the center which is expected to be completed in June 2018.
