Parrott Academy wins NCISAA 2A State Championship, 1st title since 1990

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – On Saturday, Arendell Parrott Academy scored 20 unanswered points to top St. David’s 28-14 for the 2A State title.

The Saturday night showdown was a rematch from earlier in the season in which the Warriors won 50-28.

In their first meeting, St. David’s appeared unstoppable offensively. The Warriors accounted for more than 400 yards of offense.

On Saturday, the Patriots held St. David’s to just 186 total yards.

The state championship marked the first for Parrott Academy since 1990.
