NC Packs 4 Patriots working to help military K-9s

AYDEN, N.C. (WNCT) – NC Packs for Patriots is putting together items for soldiers and their K-9 comrades this holiday season. Organizers say the dogs are often forgotten when it comes to donations. They’re hoping that will change this year. Volunteers say the K-9’s have a very important task at hand and deserve a reward.

“Just to make sure that their needs are met and that they can do their job,” says Packs for Patriots Director Barbara Whitehead. “Their ultimate job is protecting our troops. They’re out there on the front line doing a very dangerous mission of protecting our soldiers.”

Donations for the dogs include sustainable chew toys like Kong, brushes and blankets to keep the dogs warm. For more information on how you can help, click here.
