The mother and son are accused of conspiring to murder Donald Webster Franklin. They’re being held on bond. It isn’t clear if they have attorneys.

Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison says Donald Franklin called 911 on Oct. 31 to report that he had been assaulted by his son with a knife. Harrison says officers launched an investigation and consulted with prosecutors before filing charges.

Harrison describes the case as an active investigation. Read more about the case from WNCN here.
