Woman wanted in Winston-Salem death turns herself in

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — A woman wanted in connection to the death of a man found in the parking lot of a Winston-Salem movie theater last month has turned herself in to authorities.

Police tell local media outlets that 18-year-old India Nicole Lindsay surrendered Monday at the Forsyth County Jail.

Authorities had been seeking Lindsay on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Police say 22-year-old Tremon Rahquis Pittman was shot several times Oct. 8 in an apartment complex before his body was moved to a movie theater parking lot.

Another man, 18-year-old Harold Hairston, has also been charged with attempted armed robbery and murder. Both he and Lindsay were being held without bond, and it wasn’t known if they had attorneys.
