Knightdale man facing charges in fatal Raleigh hit-and-run

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A Knightdale man has been charged in the hit-and-run death of a Raleigh man last month

Authorities tell local media outlets that 47-year-old Caesar Leake was arrested Monday and charged with felony hit-and-run, aggravated death by motor vehicle, and driving while impaired in the death.

Authorities say 23-year-old Terrance Rayshone Faison was hit just before midnight Oct. 29 while walking home. His mother said he had taken the bus home from his job and had called her to pick him up, but she was asleep and did not answer.

Faison’s body was found by a neighbor the following morning, along with pieces of Leake’s vehicle.

Leake was expected in court Tuesday. He was being held on $351,000 bond, and it wasn’t immediately known if he had an attorney.
