Greene County earns Work Ready certification

SNOW HILL, N.C. (WNCT)- Greene County is officially work ready.

The North Carolina Chamber is presenting the county with the certification after it showed big signs of progress in education, industry and economic development.

Specifically noted, Greene County schools improved its high school graduation rate, established partnerships between education and industry and increased the number of Career Ready certifications.

The ceremony starts at 2 p.m. at Lenoir County Community College’s Workforce Development Center on Harper Street in Snow Hill.
