ECU ranked as top college for veterans

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT)- North Carolina has the third largest concentration of military personnel in the country. After they serve, most have a G.I. Bill to use.

ECU recently received two rankings by national organizations for its commitment to veterans. The Military Times ranked ECU 28th out of 125 for its “Best for Vets” colleges. ECU was also named a military friendly school. ECU’s Director of Military Programs says the university cares about veterans, and wants to provide them with the resources they need.

“We have a special training called green zone training, and green zone is about a three to four hour training for faculty and staff that gives you insight into any special needs or issues, even into post traumatic stress that service members deal with,” Director of Military Programs Steve Duncan said.

Over 900 veterans attend ECU.
