GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The Down East Holiday Show kicks off the holiday season, but it also directly funds local students’ education.
Justice Payton hopes to become a lawyer after graduating from Pitt Community College. She’s finishing up her dual degrees in paralegal technology and arts.
“Upon graduating this semester, I’ll be applying to take the paralegal bar test that they have, so that way I can apply for jobs to work in a law firm.”
All of this is possible because of the student ambassador scholarship.
“If it weren’t for the scholarship, I probably wouldn’t have been able to get the paralegal degree or the associates in arts degree that I’ll be finishing this year. I wouldn’t be able to have the books, I wouldn’t been able to have any of the opportunities.”
The scholarship is from the PCC Foundation, funded by the Down East Holiday Show.
“It’s another building block to my future.”
A future that’s bright, with the help of a scholarship.
