Greenville police say Halloween was a success

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT)- Local law enforcement are already prepping for next year’s Halloween. Greenville Chief of Police Mark Holtzman says the department talked about this year’s activity and brainstormed ways to improve.

Chief Holtzman says all the planning was worth it, and the evening was a success. He says most of the problems from Halloween night were not caused by ECU students.

“Where we saw trouble actually was with people from outside the community,” Chief Holtzman said. “They were not students, several of the arrests that took place just for disorderly behavior, involved people that were from outside the community.”

Chief Holtzman says a lot of the incidents off campus were also caused by people that were not ECU students.
