Mugshot Gallery: 13 busted on drug charges in Craven Co.

NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – The Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team says it’s rounded up 13 people on a number of drug charges.

Three of the 13 arrested were charged after a six-month investigation targeting the trafficking of crystal meth, marijuana, MDMA, and other controlled hallucinogenics in and around the Craven County area. The other ten were arrested as the result of a series of campaigns targeting the illegal sale of heroin and other controlled substances.

32-year-old Jordan Riley Tyson of Oakland, California was arrested without incident at a local hotel for trafficking meth, conspiracy to traffic meth, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver, among other charges. He’s being held on a $210,000 secured bond.

29-year-old Brandi Elizabeth Barragan of Oakland, California was also arrested without incident at a local hotel for trafficking meth and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver, among other charges. She’s being held on a $200,000 secured bond.

33-year-old Jolea Mcintyre of the streets of New Bern was also arrested without incident at a local hotel for trafficking meth and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver, among other charges. She’s also being held on a $200,000 secured bond.

30-year-old Shawn Edward Shepard of New Bern was arrested for 2 counts of trafficking heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s being held on a $100,000 secured bond.

24-year-old Tara Denise Wood of Vanceboro was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a written promise.

56-year-old Shirley Scott Wood of Vanceboro was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a written promise.

23-year-old Antoinette Ollison of Bayboro was arrested for 4 counts of failure to appear. She’s being held on a combined secured bond of $3,350.

38-year-old Joe Francis Rhem of Trenton was arrested for possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for controlled substances, and failure to stop for blue and siren. He’s being held on a $160,000 secured bond.

43-year-old Lamont Alan Taylor of New Jersey was arrested for 3 counts of trafficking heroin, maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for controlled substances, conspiracy to traffic heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s being held on a $1.1 million secured bond.

28-year-old Kirk Nyberg of New Bern was arrested during the execution of a search warrant for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s being held on a $100,000 secured bond.

31-year-old Angela Marie Nyberg of New Bern was arrested during the execution of a search warrant for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. She’s being held on a $100,000 secured bond.

36-year-old Antwain Tucker of Grifton was arrested during the execution of a search warrant for possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver marijuana, manufacture of cocaine, and trafficking opiates among other charges. He’s being held on a $100,000 secured bond.

30-year-old George Tucker Jr. of Grifton was arrested during the execution of a search warrant for possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver marijuana, manufacture of cocaine, and maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for controlled substances among other charges. He’s being held on a $100,000 secured bond.

The estimated street value of the controlled substances seized during the operations was in excess of $44,000. Also seized was $16,000 in currency and a firearm.

Tips from the public led to many of the arrests. More are expected.
