3 Pitt Co. registered sex offenders charged in last 2 week

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Deputies in Pitt County are keeping a close eye on the activities of registered sex offenders in the area, issuing warrants for the arrests of three in just the last two weeks.

On October 13th, 28-year-old Clavon Harrison of Greenville was served after his release from a detention center for failure to notify the sheriff of Pitt County within three business days as required by law.

On October 16th, 21-year-old Steven Alex Boseman of Greenville was also picked up after failure to register a new address after he was evicted from his original residence and moved to a new location.

Then, on October 19th, 46-year-old Michael Lee Atkinson of Greenville was served after a witness recognized him and took a picture of Atkinson on the property of Sadie Saulter School. Deputies say Atkinson admitted to being on the property with a friend who was picking up her grandson.

A Pitt County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson says the three cases are not unusual.
