Lenoir County Sheriff Ronnie Ingram tells WNCT 9 On Your Side that he believes the case is connected to one of his own. On Tuesday, Ingram says a woman was shot in Greene County and then walked to a home on Johnson Road in Kinston.
Ingram says the woman suffered wounds to her hand and shoulder. He adds that he believes she’s since been released from the hospital.
Ingram tells hat he thinks the body found in the car, now identified as Robinson, may have had some sort of relationship with the woman. He says that he has turned over his case to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and that he thinks deputies have since talked with the female shooting victim.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is working with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on the case.
