Weekend events in the East

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – An exciting week in the East, as many activities are happening for folks to enjoy.

Greenville Fall Festival
Head out to 5 Points Plaza in Uptown for the 2nd Annual Fall Festival Fundraiser.
It starts Saturday at 9 and goes until 2.
You’ll find fun activities, an assortment of carnival games, corn hole tournaments, and a pumpkin decorating contest for the kids.
Entry is free, and tickets for games and activities are available for purchase on site.
Proceeds benefit the United Way of Pitt County.

Canine Crawl
The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina (HSEC) hosts the 15th Annual Canine Crawl on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 1-4pm, at the Greenville Town Common.
There’s live music, a dog show, a 5k race, and a 1 mile walk.
Custom medals will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age group. The event will close at 4pm with an awards ceremony for the race.

Craven County Fair
The Craven County Fair opens Thursday at the Craven Fairgrounds on U.S. 70 East and continues through November 1st. There is a $5 gate admission, and $20 armbands are sold daily.
The fair opens at 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; 11 a.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. on Sundays.
It features amusement rides, vendors and live entertainment.

New Bern Indoor Yard Sale
Folks in New Bern can get rid of all their old items at the indoor yard sale.
It’s happening on Saturday until 11am inside the West New Bern Recreation Center on Pinetree Drive.

Chicken Mull Festival
The second Chicken Mull Festival will take place in Greater Downtown Bear Grass, near Williamston, this weekend.
There will be 60 vendors, a cooking contest, and great entertainment!
