NC 304 in Mesic closed over the weekend

PAMLICO COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) – A traffic advisory in Pamlico County. All lanes on NC 304 in Mesic will be closed between 7 am and 7 pm Saturday and Sunday so crews can replace a damaged drainpipe.

The new drainpipe is expected to reduce flooding by carrying more water off the road. Although there won’t be any detours, drivers can use NC 33 in Beaufort County to access Mesic and the communities of Goose Creek Island, Hobucken, and Lowland.

Drivers in the area should use caution and expect delays.
