Flu vaccinations delayed at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (WNCT) – Community events for flu vaccinations have been postponed at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune.

The Public Affairs Office reports it comes from a delay in the shipment of the nasal spray version of the vaccine known as FluMist.

High priorities to receive the vaccine include personnel who are deploying, healthcare workers and certain high risk patients.

When a shipment comes in, the hospital will send the word out including on the Community Vaccine Event and hospital’s Facebook page.

Patients or parents who have questions are encouraged to use Relay Health to send a message to their Primary Care team, or they may contact the hospital Immunizations clinic at 450-4648.
