Lowe’s Heroes work to spruce up Greenville’s Little Willie Center

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Each year Lowe’s holds Heroes Days, a day where employees go into the community and help a non-profit group with facility repairs of some kind.

This year, the south Greenville store chose to help the Little Willie Center.

A half-dozen employees took the day off to repair railings and plant beds. They also gave the centers administrative office a new front door and new fences.

This building is the original location for Little Willie and they use it today to host their community outreach projects.

The work is being done for one simple reason.

“Just the satisfaction of doing it for the community,” explained Carl Harris, Lowes Home Pro Services. “Just something that gives me joy.  That I like to do.”

Harris says they do a project each year. Last time was at Rocking Horse Ranch.
