Police make 2nd arrest in Goldsboro homicide

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – Goldsboro Police say they’ve taken Terrance Forbes, the second suspect in a Goldsboro homicide, into custody. He was placed in Wayne County jail without bond.

Early Tuesday morning, Goldsboro Police responded to a shots fired call in the 300 block of West Spruce Street. While searching the area, they located a parked vehicle in the 200 block of West Spruce Street. An unresponsive man was found inside, and Wayne County EMS pronounced the victim dead.

The victim, identified as 32-year-old Abdullah Ali Whitaker, appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound.

At around 2 a.m. Saturday morning, 17-year-old Corey Devon Sutton Junior was apprehended in connection with the incident. Sutton was placed in the Wayne County Jail without bond.
