MERRIT, N.C. (WNCT) – Deputies in Pamlico County say they’ve arrested three people following their investigation into a fatal home invasion.
They say they took into custody Kareen Ramel Elliot, a validated UBN gang member, and Brandi Nichelle Hudson. The pair were located in a Beaufort County residence.
Elliot was charged with 1 count of First Degree Burglary, 5 counts of 2nd Degree Kidnapping, and 4 counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. He’s in the Pamlico County Detention Center under a $1.5 million secured bond. Hudson was charged with 1 count of Accessory After the fact of a Felony. She’s in the Pamlico County Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond.
Deputies say their arrests were a joint effort between the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and Greenville Police, and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies also say another man was also arrested in connection with a home invasion in New Bern with the assistance of the New Bern Police Department.
Deshawn Robert Johnson aka WAVY was arrested at his home on Moore Ave. in New Bern and charged with 1 count of First Degree Burglary. He’s in the Pamlico County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.
Further arrests are expected.
