ECU gives nod to $65M dorm renovations

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The East Carolina University Board of Trustees approved $65 million in bonds to renovate dorms.

The money will go to upgrading White, Clement, Green, Fleming residence halls. Each of the dorms will briefly go offline beginning in December to complete the renovations.

Students will only be able to live in the halls for one semester while renovations are underway, similar to when work was done on Belk Hall.

Construction is expected to be complete in fall of 2019.
