Walmart hiring up to 95 for new Jacksonville Neighborhood Market

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Walmart says it’s still hiring up to 95 associates to work at a new Neighborhood Market scheduled to open this winter in Jacksonville.

A temporary hiring center is already open at 1899 North Marine Blvd.

Applications will be accepted Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you’d like to apply, click here.

Walmart will offer a job to any eligible U.S. veteran honorably discharged from active duty since the Veterans Welcome Home Commitment launched on Memorial Day 2013. Interested veterans may find out more here.

The store manager says the store will be hiring both full and part-time associates. ”We are excited to provide jobs and a new grocery option to the Jacksonville community,” said Dwyne Batin.

Most of the new associates will begin work in November to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
