New Bern Mumfest celebrates 35 years

NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – The Mumfest wrapped up the last day of its 35th annual weekend-long event in New Bern Sunday.

Thousands came out to go pumpkin picking, shop local vendors, and celebrate New Bern’s largest festival of the year.

One New Bern local says more people attended Sunday’s event than Saturday due to the beautiful weather.

“Today, much better day. Sun shining, lots of people out here in downtown New Bern,” said Curt Williford.

Williford says the festival is also a great opportunity for friends and neighbors to get together and celebrate New Bern’s heritage and history.
