Government tool breaks down ECU student loans

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The U.S. Department of Education published a college search tool to help prospective students see the costs of higher education.

WNCT used the College Scorecard to look at East Carolina University.

The tool reports that ECU students are above the national average of those paying down their student loan debt.

It finds that 55% have federal loans and are paying around $264 per month.

The average salary a grad would earn is around $39,000.
