Pitt County man facing charges for attempted murder

SIMPSON, N.C. (WNCT) – A Pitt County man is behind bars on attempted murder charges.

Pitt County deputies responded to 2702 Hardee Street in Simpson on October 2nd to investigate reports of assault involving a firearm.

Deputies identified the suspect as Jamar Moye. They say Moye knew both victims; an adult and a minor. Moye is facing charges for two counts of attempted murder, five counts of possession of firearm by a felon, and possession of firearm with altered or removed serial number.

Moye is being held at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $2,050,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was scheduled for Monday morning.
