3 rescued from thigh deep water in Hobucken

HOBUCKEN, N.C. (WNCT) – Three adults are safe after multiple agencies had to complete a water rescue to get them out of their home.

It happened around 8:30 Sunday night on Goose Creek Island in Hobucken.

The National Guard and Pamilico County EMS assisted the sheriff’s office. No one was injured.

Water was thigh deep in the area at the time.

Schools in the county closed Monday due to flooding on roadways.
