Winterville man safely returned to family

WINTERVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- Winterville Police are thanking the public for their help locating a missing Winterville man.

Authorities found 43-year-old Victor Edwards in the the Harris Teeter parking lot on Evans Street in Greenville. Edwards was returned to his family in good health after getting checked out my local EMS crews.

The 43-year-old was reported missing Sunday morning.

43-year-old Victor Edwards is a black man, approximately 5’9 and between 200 and 240 pounds, with black curly hair and brown eyes.

Edwards left his home this morning and is believed to be suffering from dementia or other cognitive impairments.

He is possibly in the Greenville or Grifton area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Winterville police or the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office.
