Water sports offered in Greenville year-round

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The end of summer does *not have to mean the end of outdoor activities in Eastern North Carolina. A new facility in Greenville offers water sports on the Tar River year-round.

“People are saying, ‘When are you going to close?’ And I just say.. ‘Well I’m actually not going to close.’ I’m going to say open year round,'” said Kelsey Curtis, owner of Knee Deep Adventures.
“There’s many things to enjoy throughout the seasons, so I’m going to keep that open to the public.”

Knee Deep Adventures in Greenville offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, and will soon offer camping gear. They strive to encourage people to be adventurous, get outside, enjoy nature, and check out the Tar River.

“In the fall, it’s awesome to see when the leaves start falling, and the different animals start come out to the shore line. aAnd during the winter time, the most beautiful thing is to go paddling after it snows; everything is dusted over.”
