FARMVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Pitt Community College got the public involved Saturday by hosting a public forum.
The goal is to have community input on what classes they want and need at the school. Some classes discussed were criminal justice, early childhood education and medical assistant courses. A future student, Tiara Harper, says she’s searching for a major and this forum helps her learn more about the future satellite campus.
“I wanted to learn more about the program for instance, I am interested in nursing so I want to learn more about nursing and I want to be able to go to school closer to my home,” explained Harper.
The forum also discussed non-credited classes like photography or cake decorating courses. The center will open its door in the next few months.
