County fairs in the East roll on despite wet weather

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Despite the wet weather, two fairs here in the East were still up and running Saturday.

Both the Pitt and Lenoir County fairs had fun for the whole family Saturday with plenty of rides and food. Of course, they made adjustments for the inclement weather.

Lenoir County Extension Director Tammy Kelly says they have plenty of activities that will keep you dry.

“You get to see a lot of different horses, goats, sheep, rabbits, a puppy, a mule, some llamas, and pigs, which is kind of fun for folks to see,” Kelly said.

The Pitt and Lenoir County Fairs both wrap up Sunday.
