Police looking for suspect who crashed a stolen car in Kinston

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – The Kinston Department of Public Safety is looking for the person responsible for stealing a car and crashing it into a structure.

KDPS tells 9 On Your Side officers responded a car crash just before 3 o’clock Friday morning.

Kinston Police say the car crashed into a vacant structure on the 500 block of Sherman Street. Police say the person driving the car left the scene before officers arrived.

Officers say during the course of the investigation they learned the car had been reported stolen sometime Friday morning.
