Pirate fans enjoy Freeboot Friday, rain or shine

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The rain didn’t top Pirate fans from getting out and getting pumped up for Saturday’s game against Virginia Tech.

Friday was the second Freeboot Friday of the 2015-2016 ECU Football season held at Five Points Plaza.

Freeboot Friday is held to  kick off ECU home games. The Virginia Tech game is held on Pirate Club and Family weekend, so there was plenty for people to get out and do, despite the rain.

Everything from rides, arts and crafts and food vendors were on hand in Uptown Greenville.

ECU head football coach Ruffin McNeill, the ECU Marching band, cheerleaders, and men and women’s basketball teams were out to meet fans as well.
